I Love Being A Working Mom

I love being a working mom. I bet you did a re-read on reading this. So did I. The first time, the thought came to be, I did a re-think. But to reinforce what I said , here are my top reasons, why it absolutely rocks to be a working mom.

I get to stay out of the house, out of the red crayons and the green cars for a large period of the day. And guess what, I am paid for it. Yohoo! I can actually meet and converse with other adults about projects and work and inflation and appraisals. I don’t have to talk about pre-schooler ingratitude or healthy breakfasts. I can actually eat samosas for evening tea, because I am working and where-the-heck-does-one-get healthy foods.

I meet adults and we crack up about age, hair and generally share laughter.  I don’t have to laugh at Oggy and the Cockroaches. I especially love the fact that I don’t have to laugh at the reruns of Oggy and the Cockroaches. I can skip unwanted family functions and friend outings because I can’t possibly squander my precious leave. As a corollary to that, when I do go for events, I wear little or no jewellery. I can order take-out for dinner and take my son for Saturday breakfasts to Bappa’s hotel for bun, because I am so tired of the long work day. We rarely find anything in place at home, because we stay in a home, not a museum with everything so spic and span, that I wouldn’t touch a thing.

I have an even longer list why I hate being a working mom, but you see, I am a working mom – just don’t get the time to pen it.

  1. Good day! This is my 1st comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout
out and tell you I genuinely enjoy reading your posts.
Can you recommend any other blogs/websites/forums that go over the same subjects?
    Thanks a lot!

  2. naturally like your web site but you need to test the spelling on several of your posts.

Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to inform the
reality on the other hand I’ll surely come back again.
